The Vascular Society GB&I are proud to launch a publication entitled All you need to know about Vascular Surgery.
The book has been developed to provide a guide for medical students, early year doctors and allied healthcare professionals. However, whilst this book has a surgical emphasis, it is also aimed at all the brilliant professionals that make the vascular community – specialist nurses, surgical care practitioners and therapists.
The book is available online, open access and available using the following link: All you need to know about Vascular Surgery – Journal of Vascular Societies Great Britain and Ireland JVSGBI
The many contributors to this volume share a love for vascular surgery; its complexities; its joys; its anatomical range; its beauty and also its frustrations.
Written in a clear format including figures and photographs, chapters include:
- Peripheral arterial disease and lower limb disease
- Diseases of the aorta
- Venous disease
- Miscellaneous
The basics of vascular surgery care remain rooted in compassion combined with scientific knowledge and technical skill delivered by the whole vascular team. This book provides an excellent introduction to vascular surgery, and also a superb reference for the whole vascular community. For those who wish to consider vascular surgery as a career, we hope this resource will ignite interest further.
